 Telling your shoe size with a ruler is an easy way to ensure the perfect fit. The measurement should be taken without socks or any other kind of foot wear on. Start by finding the length of your foot from heel to the tip of your toes and write it down, this will be for example "12". Divide that number by 3.14 (pi) and round off the decimal (to four digits).

This will be for example "3.71". Round off that number ("3") and then divide it by 2; this will be for example "1.85".Tired of constantly checking your shoe size online? Well, as a woman, I've been there. And when I can finally find my shoes on the website, they're always wrong.

So what should you do if you want to be able to compare your shoe sizes with ease? Here's how:1 - Find the widest point on one side of your foot and place it on a standard ruler in centimeters. 2 - On the other side of your foot follow where that line meets with the edge of the ruler in millimeters.

1. Make sure you have a ruler and pen/pencil that can write on both sides of the paper. If you don't have one, borrow one from another student or teacher in your school or classroom.

2. Measure from the end of the heel (top) of your shoe to just below where you want to measure from (bottom) with the ruler   3. Mark this measurement on your paper and then add about 1 inch for every 1/8 inch per foot for widths taller than 10 inches .

There is a lot of confusion around how to put on pretty much anything when you can't see what you're doing. You might not know which heel goes on your foot the first time, which buttons on your shirt go together—the list goes on. But even if you really just don't care about the results or never want to find out how someone else sizes their shoes, there are two other very good reasons to learn how to measure your feet with a ruler: so that you will be able to determine whether or not they fit and so that someone else won't be able to size them for you incorrectly.

Trying to determine your shoe size with a ruler is not always easy. If you find yourself stymied by this task, there is hope! If you have access to an accurate and lenient person, who knows your foot size without fail and can easily agree on what it means for you, then feel free to use them. To start out with the basics: a right shoe equals a right foot's width laid flat. A left shoe equals that same foot's length laid flat (or width). And finally, if both feet are measured at the same time (without shoes), divide the result by 2.
